Ezra is finally getting to the age where he can be captivated by an activity, usually up to 30 mins max, but it’s a start.

With the summer heat, it’s too hot to go on walks or play outside during the day and I don’t want to go to a mall every afternoon either (not a fiscally responsible decision for me to spend long periods of time there). If we were morning people, we could go to parks or the corniche before the mid-day heat ramps up, but that’s not conducive to our schedule very often. 😴🌤

We’re easing back into seeing people and scheduling play dates, but most of the day I’m a one-man entertainment show. So I need to start getting more creative. Today we played with colorful rice (thanks, @busytoddler ) and my time spent sweeping up rice grains was worth the fun he had dumping and mixing for a half hour. ☺️

Usually I’m a go-go-go kind of person, but taking care of two little ones by myself (during the day) in a foreign country has made me a lot more content with staying in the house, quarantine aside. I’m grateful to be able to stay home with them while they’re at such a young and impressionable age, but feel free to throw me all your activity suggestions because that toddler energy is no joke! 😅

When I was a child, learning about Moses in Sunday school and watching VeggieTales and The Prince of Egypt, I thought of places like the
