My favorite quirk of our apartment is the elevator that opens straight into the top floor of our place. It makes me feel fancy, 😎 but is also kinda weird when you think about it.

We have a special key we turn in order to push the button to come to our floor, so we don’t have to be concerned about people randomly showing up inside our house. Although I have panicked a few times that we would accidentally leave the key in the lock. 🔑

The elevator is honestly not terribly useful but it is nice for moving heavy things between the two floors, and for taking sleepy babies (and pregnant mamas) straight from the car to their bedroom. 😴
